Installation Guide

1.Select Installation Method :

Choose between USB flashing or Multiboot deployment.

Determine whether you are installing to the receiver's Internal Flash via USB drive or to External Flash via MultiBoot.

 

2.Method A: Internal Flash Installation (USB) :

Formats USB drive to FAT32.

1. Extract the backup zip file directly to the root of a FAT32-formatted USB drive. Ensure the directory structure is USB:\vuplus\zero4k\.

2. Power OFF the Vu+ Zero 4K using the rear power switch.

3. Insert the USB drive into the rear USB port.

4. Power ON the receiver and press the front touch button when prompted to start flashing.

 

3.Method B: External Flash Installation (MultiBoot) :

Deploys image archive via multiboot manager.

1. Connect to your active receiver via FTP (FileZilla or WinSCP).

2. Upload the backup archive (.zip or .tar.gz) to /media/usb/openMultiboot-Upload/ or /media/ba/backup/.

3. Open MultiBoot Manager or OpenMultiboot from the receiver plugins menu.

4. Select Install Image, choose the uploaded file, and boot into the new OpenBlackHole 5.6.008 image upon completion.
