External Flash Installation Guide (Barry Allen / OpenMultiboot)

1.Download Image Archive :

Prepares backup file for multiboot manager.

Download the OpenATV 7.6.1 DM800se backup image archive (.zip or .nfi / .tar.gz depending on your multiboot setup).

 

2.Upload to Multiboot Folder via FTP :

Transfers image to multiboot storage directory.

Connect to your Dreambox using FTP (FileZilla or WinSCP) and transfer the backup file to your multiboot media directory:

  • For Barry Allen: /media/ba/backup/ or /media/ba/MB_Images/

  • For OpenMultiboot: /media/usb/openMultiboot-Upload/

 

3.Extract & Unpack via Multiboot Plugin :

Deploys image onto external USB/eSATA storage.

  1. Turn ON your Dreambox and navigate to Menu > Plugins > Barry Allen (or OpenMultiboot).

  2. Select Install Image / Unpack Image, choose the uploaded OpenATV 7.6.1 file, and confirm execution.

  3. Wait until the extraction process completes successfully.

 

4.Boot New Image :

Loads new OpenATV 7.6.1 environment.

Restart your receiver, select OpenATV 7.6.1 from the multiboot boot menu, and enjoy your fully configured system.
