USB Flashing Guide for Vu+ Uno 4K SE

1.Prepare USB Drive :

Prepares flash drive for bootloader recognition.

Format a USB flash drive (16GB or smaller recommended) to FAT32.

 

2.Download & Extract Image Archive :

Preserves required folder hierarchy.

Download the backup zip file and extract its contents directly to the root of your USB drive. Ensure the folder structure on the USB drive is:

USB:\vuplus\uno4kse\ containing the image files (rootfs.tar.bz2, initrd.bin, etc.).

 

3.Flash Image via USB :

Triggers firmware update procedure.

  1. Turn OFF the receiver using the rear power switch.

  2. Insert the USB drive into the front USB port behind the front flap.

  3. Power ON the receiver using the rear power switch.

  4. When the OLED screen displays "Press Power", press the front touch power button on the receiver to start flashing.

 

4.Reboot & Post-Flash Access :

Initializes updated environment.

Wait until the display indicates flashing is complete and the receiver reboots automatically. Remove the USB drive. You can now access the receiver via FTP/SSH using username root and password vuplus.
