NCam v15.8 is an advanced emulator softcam based on OSCam source code, heavily optimized for Linux Enigma2 satellite receivers. Build 15.8 delivers enhanced ECM processing speed, automatic softcam key updating (PowerVu, Tandberg, BISS), optimized card reader drivers, and improved server connection stability across CCcam, Newcamd, and Gbox protocols.

Compatible with Python 2 and Python 3 images (OpenATV, OpenPLi, OpenBH, EGAMI, VTi, BlackHole, and Dreambox OS).

Quick Installation Guide

1.Upload Package to /tmp/ :

Transfers installer to receiver system.

Upload the appropriate .ipk (for Vu+, Octagon, Zgemma) or .deb file (for Dreambox) to the /tmp/ folder via FTP (FileZilla or WinSCP).

 

2.Install via SSH / Terminal :

Installs softcam binaries and startup scripts.

Connect via SSH/Telnet (PuTTY) and run the installer command:

• For IPK Images:

opkg update
opkg install --force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

 

• For DEB Images (Dreambox OS):

dpkg -i /tmp/*.deb
apt-get install -f -y

 

 

3.Upload Configuration Files :

Required for server reader authentication.

Transfer your configuration files (ncam.server, ncam.conf, ncam.user) to /etc/tuxbox/config/ncam/ (or /etc/tuxbox/config/).

 

4.Start NCam via Softcam Panel :

Activates softcam service.

Go to Menu > Setup > Softcam / CI > Softcam Panel, select NCam 15.8, and press Green (Start/Restart).
