Picons Astra 19.2°E Update (May 2026) for Enigma2: Overview & Installation

The Picons Astra 19.2°E (May 2026 Update) release provides a fresh package of high-quality channel logos designed for Enigma2 Linux satellite receivers. This update includes corrected Service Reference Parameters (SRP) for updated transponder frequencies, rebranded station logos, and newly launched channels across the Astra 19.2°E orbital position (including Sky Deutschland, Movistar+, Canal+ France, HD+, and DAZN packages).

Fully compatible with all Enigma2 images such as OpenATV, OpenPLi, OpenBH, EGAMI, VTi, PurE2, and Dreambox OS.

Quick Installation Guide

1.Unpack Archive :

Extracts picon files on your PC.

Download the package and extract the archive to reveal the picon folder containing the PNG files.

 

2.Upload Picons via FTP :

Transfers logos to storage location.

Connect to your receiver via FTP (FileZilla or WinSCP) and upload the picon directory to your preferred system path:

• Internal Flash: /usr/share/enigma2/picon/

• USB Drive (Recommended): /media/usb/picon/

 

3.Set Permissions :

Ensures correct file read permissions.

Set file permissions to 755 for the directory and 644 for the individual PNG files.

 

4.Restart Enigma2 GUI :

Reloads picon graphics into memory.

Go to Menu > Standby / Restart > Restart User Interface to apply the new channel logos.
