Quick USB Flashing Guide

1.Prepare USB Drive :

Prepares flash drive for receiver bootloader.

Format a USB flash drive (16GB or smaller recommended) to FAT32.

2.Download & Extract Image :

Preserves required folder structure.

Download the OpenSPA 8.7 .zip archive matching your exact Vu+ model and extract it directly to the root of your USB drive. Ensure the directory path looks like USB:\vuplus\your_model_name\.

3.Flash Firmware via USB :

Triggers firmware deployment on boot.

  1. Turn OFF the receiver using the rear power switch.

  2. Insert the USB drive into the front USB port (or rear port if front is unavailable).

  3. Power ON the receiver. When the display shows "Press Power" (or touch button LED flashes), press the front panel Power Button to start flashing.

4.Reboot & Initial Setup :

Initializes new OpenSPA environment.

Wait for the installation to reach 100%. The receiver will reboot automatically. Remove the USB drive and complete the initial setup wizard on your TV screen.
